The concept of adaptation has been revised since the evolution of humans. The more adaptable to the change has managed to survive. Now more than ever, we are noticing the drastic shift in business operations and basic human life. If we closely inspect the situation, we can conclude that the change is positive and only leading towards a better tomorrow.
Though many fail to adapt or even agree that transformation is here—even after inspecting the magnitude of change. Neil Mistry (Founder and CEO) had a similar incident in his journey. Prior to venturing into entrepreneurship, he worked in the IT industry. He shares experience in both sales and consulting for more than two decades across Canada. In his career, he had the opportunity to work with many large technology Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) or Solution Integrators (SI).
A large part of Neil’s career has been focused on provincial and municipal government including public safety, alongside large enterprises in the private sector. While working as Director of Sales Public Sector, he noticed a major shift in government trying to understand the potential of technology and how it will further enhance the business value. Understanding the potential of technologies, the government started investing in next-gen technologies including SaaS and IaaS to focus on achieving better business outcomes. Not just SaaS/IaaS, but technology investment also included cloud computing strategies and private/ Hybrid on-premise cloud platforms. The bottom line was to pivot towards a more flexible and cost-effective IT strategy and leverage technologies that could scale with simplicity, were easy to deploy, operationalize, and access.
Neil realized that the shift was happening not just in government but also in other industry verticals raising a sense of urgency. In an effort to make the business leaders understand the urgency of the situation, he said, “If we don’t change our brand and approach as a traditional VAR and SI we are going to die and become less relevant to our customers”. Despite this, the leaders did not understand how the market was changing or they wanted to self-inflict the change but shortly thereafter they were acquired.
It was evident that customers would choose to spend money on technology in a different way the relevance of VAR and or SI also has to change. This led to the foundation of Managing Information Systems 3 Inc. in 2018.
“The need for traditional professional integration services and efforts are NOT required from the VAR’s and SI’s any longer, only for legacy infrastructure,” says Neil, the Founder, and CEO of Managing Information Systems 3 Inc
Neil is the CEO, hunter, business leader, motivator, and consultant with exceptional proven experience in technology and business consulting. Since the beginning, he has aimed to help the client reduce the technology footprint and educating the clients on how to best utilize technology. He helps the client understand how leveraging the best technology will drive their business objectives and KPI’s without burdening IT operations. In doing so he became the visionary and creator of the “Business Transformation Through IT Modernization” methodology.
Managing Information Systems 3 Inc. (MIS3) was established to help clients in utilizing existing technology investments and leveraging transformational platforms such as the cloud while providing thought leadership around governance and security. MIS3 Inc. believes no business can function without technology. But also, digital transformation is not easy and requires an elevated strategic business and technology plan for the next-gen of interaction with the customers, employers, business processes, and the products/services one provides. In order to tackle this, MIS3 offers 3 core engagement models:

Transformational IT: One of the key differentiator, as it offers business transformation through IT modernization planning and strategy
Challenges are one of the inevitable parts of the business. For MIS3 the initial challenge was understandably operating capital as Neil established the company bootstrapped with no investors or debt. Moreover, with time convincing clients about the importance of business transformation was difficult. Nevertheless, Neil continued spreading awareness and education within the market while working with early adopters.
As aforementioned, transformational IT worked as the key differentiator for the company in the industry. As a result, the first core transformational IT project was tremendous. It helped the team to learn a lot about how to take the client from legacy to future states in a logical process. The team mapped the steps in the process, documented lessons learned, and re-apply those lessons in future projects. “We helped our client reimagine their business with our Transformational IT approach thus changing IT internally to become a business leader, not just a service provider,” said Neil.
Even with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, MIS3 continued to use its services and solutions to help the clients. The sudden push towards the virtual world is not easy for all businesses. Making adaptation the key, MIS3 swiftly focused the business on Transformational IT and helped the clients in understanding the transformation. On the other hand, the COVID-19 outbreak managed to validate MIS3’s business model and proved that the Transformational IT approach and message alongside approach and vision/mission making it ground-breaking in the industry.
Amid the calamitous business environment, MIS3 is helping the clients reimagine the business and helping them adopt proper technology strategies and platforms. The company’s contribution is to align business with technology and enable clients to achieves successful business transformation in four key areas,

Neil believes that the company has been successful in achieving its initial goals and now working towards the next step to progress. In the year 2021, MIS3 expanded the services in the US with a vision to be the North American leader in offering transformational IT services. Apart from this, it has added 3 new core practice areas to the portfolio, which focus on strengthening the digital transformation. These core practice areas are Next Generation infrastructure, Next Generation Cyber Security, and Next Generation IT operations.
Alongside, MIS3 is also enhancing and evolving the Next Generation Professional Services and Managed Services. Neil comments, “The future projects we are focusing on will be more open source technology related, application development and security-focused plus cloud design, migrations, and security-related.”
