Cost-effectiveness cannot come at the cost of lack of innovation and creativity. They must go hand in hand and at the same time, must meet the needs of creating a good defense. Wilson commemorates his initial days at R2C Inc. “We received our first larger task order in 2014 and staffed up to meet the requirements of the mission. We were blessed to find several very highly skilled engineers and logisticians that really dug into the task and understood the inner workings of the platforms we were assigned. One of the projects alone creates a cost savings to the US Government of over $58 Mn. In a climate of reducing budgets and sequestration, this is a phenomenal attribute and highlights the type of service that can be brought to bear by Small Businesses in our community.” Clearly, there is very little room for compromise and errors.
When asked about the greatest threat we face during the pandemic, Wilson says, “The biggest threat we face is fear: fear that we will not fully recover from the pandemic; fear that we will somehow not return to the economic capacity we were at previously that allows despair to set in and prevent our people from reaching their full potential. Fear has a damaging effect at the local, state, and national levels which ultimately makes it more challenging for our military to protect the country.”
The company has also strongly supported disabled veterans in their CSR initiatives. “First and foremost, we support our disabled veterans and service-members as well as our local law enforcement personnel. We also support high school and college students through our STEM internship program and are a diligent supporter of St Jude’s and Masonic Charities.” Their dedication towards their vision is commendable.
