After introducing central billing technology in 2015 and PayPal as a payment option in 2017, the focus has shifted to sustainability and the environment. ehotel’s blog lists the most important sustainability seals in the hotel industry so that customers can make sure hotels meet their ecological requirements when they book. The information can also serve as an incentive for less environmentally conscious customers to consider their carbon footprint when making a booking. Recently we added a new filter to help our bookers personalize even more their search results and get directly the sustainable hotels displayed. ehotel® partnered with certification bodies such as GreenSign, Green Key, Green Globe, Travelife, Certified Green Hotel, EU Ecolab, Tourcert, or EMAS-EU2.
ehotel® has launched recently an additional tool called Rate Manager, which is a self-service tool that helps to audit the self-negotiated contract rates. All negotiated rates are documented in the Rate Manager. The Rate Manager checks the actual availability of the contract rates and all attached items such as breakfast and cancellation policies. This tool enables the monitoring of any discrepancies based on what has been negotiated with preferred hotels.
