Workforce Management plays an integral role in an organisation’s overall success. Planning and Execution are the key aspects of management. In terms of Workforce Management, the goal is to strategically allocate people and resources, optimize productivity, reduce risk, and most importantly ensure everyone is actively collaborating.
To create a highly responsive and collaborative environment, communication is crucial. Such an environment helps employees get a clear and crisp idea of what they are going to do.
The concept of workforce management has experienced a paradigm shift over the years. The new-age enterprises are focusing on providing guidance and direction to their teams while integrating a flexible workforce management system.
One such company working to be the #1 specialized workplace management tool globally is StaffSavvy.
Whether an organisation looks after a team of 50 or 5000, StaffSavvy has the tools to help better manage its workforce.
Established in 2010, SmartBlue was founded to create StaffSavvy; a bespoke staff management platform for a small independent venue. As word of mouth spread, the software was rolled out to different organisations and new features were added. After ten years as a side business, the founder decided to expand the service and since then they have not looked back.
Today, StaffSavvy is one of the Top human resources management system solutions providers in the UK 2022 by @HRTECH.
A dynamic personality, Andrew Treadwell is the Founder of SmartBlue. He is a developer and project manager by trade having run projects on behalf of Agos, Wedgewood, Royal Doulton, Paco Rabanne, Hackett London, and many others. Andrew then took StaffSavvy full-time and hasn’t looked back.
StaffSavvy is a software-as-a-service HRIS, LMS, ATS, Shift Scheduling, timesheets, and communication tool. It’s designed from the ground up to support complex organisations with a high amount of customisation and a large variety of their operations.
The software is accompanied by ground-breaking unlimited support and training that is designed to help organizations make the most of their service.
The platform is built with real-world experience and brings unrivalled tools and features making every day easier and more efficient.
StaffSavvy is an ideal choice for:
StaffSavvy focuses on ensuring the features are operationally useful; not just best practices but tools and options that are required for the teams to work smoothly. It links its features wherever possible to ensure that there is no repetition or informational silos that become frustrating to its users.
Finally, it backs this up with unrivalled support and training. Often organisations are charged for any training they require but this leads to staff not understanding the tools they have available and poor practices set in. With StaffSavvy, clients can request unlimited manager training and support, so it has the opportunity to deepen the organization’s use of the service while improving their experience at the same time.
Unlimited manager training and support makes a huge difference to organisations and often leads to a much smoother and happy experience. The software itself is hugely flexible and able to deal with highly complex requirements and operational needs. This allows organisations to implement their processes into the software rather than manually running some processes as they can’t be serviced by standard workplace software.
A key obstacle is convincing organisations that StaffSavvy does has the answers to support them. Many of them have either searched before or have been burnt by sales teams telling them their tool has the answer but only to find later that it doesn’t.
The company has taken very practical and down-to-earth approaches to sales and will simply show clients the software with honest discussions over its strengths and weaknesses. This honest and open approach allows them to start the long-term relationship on the right foot and they are lucky to have incredibly loyal clients.
Andrew talks about his team, StaffsSavvy’s work culture, and how he manages the workforce.
“We’re a fully remote team; this was decided as we needed to grow extensively during the global pandemic. Our remote nature allows us to recruit the best team members from anywhere and also allows them to manage their work-life balance to suit them. Our team is diverse but all bring previous experience from other roles; HR, venue management, payroll, etc.
This is critical for us being able to support our clients; we understand the issues they face and so are in a better position to support them. Each team member has the autonomy to manage their time and tasks as they see fit; we focus on outcomes rather than time. We also prioritize our welfare; we have a strict policy of no emails outside of core hours for example. This helps prevent anyone from being drawn into discussions when not actively working.”
SmartBlue’s software-as-a-service allows for easy integration into existing tools organisations already use. It has an open API allowing organizations to build custom integrations and support open standards such as SAML for single sign-on which helps keep organisations secure.
Currently, StaffSavvy serves different regions including the UK, Australia, the USA, and New Zealand. In the near future, it aims to spread its wings and be available in other regions too. It is working with colleagues around the world to bring its solution to more organisations wherever they are based. This will be backed up by local knowledge too allowing them to offer the same level of support.
