But what challenges do the present scenario present? Daniel recollects his initial days and the challenges that were thrown at him, “The biggest hurdle besides development and financing was the market entry. We knew that we could not make it into the market on our own. Therefore, we implemented the marketing of TESVOLT products in close partnership with the established companies SMA and Samsung SDI – not as lone fighters. “
Simon adds, “What drives us is the vision to bring affordable and clean energy to every corner of the world with efficient storage technologies. Even to places where people have no access to the power grid.”
When asked about their secret ingredient behind consistent growth, Daniel says, “We can only be successful if we pursue the same goals hand in hand with our partners, suppliers and customers. “
When the pandemic began, it was a rather unsettling change for the world. Digitization has saved TESVOLT the way it has saved the rest of the world. “We have achieved a high degree of digitization at TESVOLT in recent years. It was only during the pandemic that colleagues and customers made extensive use of the digital possibilities.”
Other observations for TESVOLT during the pandemic include “Planning reliability for companies has decreased rapidly and organizations must be able to react faster and more flexibly to new requirements. This requires an increasing degree of agility,” according to Simon.
“Ultimately, our proprietary battery management system (Active Battery Technology) is the reason why TESVOLT has developed so well,” says Simon. “It makes TESVOLT storage units particularly durable and economical – both of which are essential for anyone looking to invest in larger energy storage systems.”
TESVOLT has an upcoming exciting launch that they believe can perform better than all their existing technologies. Daniel calls it the allrounder. “We have developed an extraordinary new battery storage device that can do even more than our previous storage devices – a real all-rounder. We expect to launch it early next year.”
Communication and culture forms a big part of the successes. Daniel and Simon both seem to be on the same page around that. “At TESVOLT, team spirit counts – it is not the company that shapes people, but the people that shape the company,” says Simon. Daniel nods and adds to his remark, “In our agile organization, decision-making authority is distributed to all colleagues and collective intelligence is harnessed. This enables a high degree of agility. For colleagues, this means a high degree of self-determined action and the opportunity to realize their own ideas. “
After all, what more can you do with success if you do not have a team that can rejoice with you?
Failures and real life do not always turn out the way you want it. These challenges and failures always end up adding a different angle to learning and development. Daniel does not believe that they would not want to do anything differently. Except he wishes he would have had a memento to commemorate and celebrate the beginning of TESVOLT. “On day one, a start-up photo and a letter of how we see TESVOLT in 5 and 10 years. Otherwise I would not do anything differently,” comments Daniel. Why would he? He had a vision with a solid premise set by the harm caused to the environment by the world.
