Okpara has spent years navigating and mastering the complex and difficult world of healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He has also obtained early in his professional life professional licenses to practice in Ghana and Nigeria–two key markets in English West Africa. During the process, he has identified reputation and functional values as the key defects in the global healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. This defect he believes surpasses current technical and innovational deficiencies. “Our aim in the short-term is to provide with super-reputation superpremium quality, super-affordable and super-efficacious pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare products for healthcare professionals and by extension end-users in the dynamic healthcare market of Africa.”
Okpara has focused on building super-strong and lasting relationships and partnerships. Their primary focus was China and India, which has changed over the last few years because of some concerns. However, he is confident of the culture he has cultivated. Talking about developing quality business partnerships, he affirms with a firm tone, “Always seal critical deals via face-to-face meetings to ensure reliable and secure relationships that can withstand future turbulences.”
Okpara has devoted years into learning the ropes efficiently and gaining the skills to become an effective leader. “Motivation does not come naturally every day and levels of motivation can vary depending on at least some factors beyond our control, but ultimately our motivation levels remain our responsibility as individuals and we must keep up a strong spirit.”
He adds, “In the corporate sphere, the best way to keep at the highest motivation levels is to be ahead in intensity in learning, contemplation (thought), doing (action) and rest (play) because like begets like and intensity naturally begets drive and energy which is a critical part of any business.” His message to new entrepreneurs and the leaders of the future is loud and clear, “Read intensely, contemplate intensely, do intensely and rest intensely.” Intensity is clearly the keyword that helps him strive to be better tomorrow.
Ebuxe currently uses end product clinical research to decide which set of healthcare innovation and products suit a specific sub-population. Besides looking for partnerships, Okpara is currently working on creating a strong sales and marketing team for Ebuxe. In the long haul, he wishes to further expand globally at supersonic speed. “We hope to advance into Manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Research & Development.”
On the pivotal role of health he says, “Apart from spirituality, health is the most important area of an individual’s life. Healthcare services therefore offer a foundational value for the physical integrity and well-being of an individual and by that extend even greater value to the quality of how relationships, families, societies and cultures work and advance.”
“Healthcare is a primary and critical, foundational resource,” says Okpara while he emphasizes the critical need to further progress in personalized medicine to better align therapeutic solutions more strongly and closely to genetic profile and achieve better health outcomes for patients globally.
