  • The new solutions released are Memory Machine Cloud Edition and Memory Viewer. These products will help customers solve their immediate memory challenges.

The provider of Big Memory software, MemVerge, is releasing two new software products, Memory Machine Cloud Edition and Memory Viewer.

Charles Fan, CEO and Co-founder of MemVerge, said that these two novel products help their customers solve their immediate memory challenges. As CXL gets ready for take-off, Memory Machine and Memory Viewer are the first memory auto-tiering software suites to support CXL. Working with their hardware partners, they have taken the first step towards CXL pooled memory.

Details About New Software Products

Memory Machine Cloud Edition software utilizes patented ZeroIO memory snapshot technology and cloud service orchestration to checkpoint long-running applications transparently. It allows customers to use low-cost spot instances safely. As time passes, Memory Machine Cloud Edition will shape the basis of an infrastructure cloud service enabling applications to run across a multi-cloud environment.

Memory Viewer software gives system administrators actionable information about DRAM, their most expensive and under-utilized asset.

As the world enters the CXL era of petascale pooled memory, better visibility into memory infrastructure’s health, capacity, and performance will become indispensable, according to the vendor. Memory Viewer topology and heat maps give system administrators new insights into their memory infrastructure. The software is available now for download for free.

Christopher Cox, vice-president of technology at Montage Technology, said that system vendors and end-users want to see CXL technology in action and can now see it live. In the MemVerge booth at Flash Memory Summit, Montage Technology will demonstrate a Redis workload accessing a Montage CXL memory expansion card with DDR5 memory composed by MemVerge Memory Machine software.
