The spokeswoman of WarnerMedia’s HBO Max stated that the Oscar-nominated films ‘Dune’, ‘West Side Story’, and ‘Nightmare Alley’, have been the most-watched movies on the streaming service. Also, the viewership of ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ has jumped 42% after the announcement of Oscar nomination for leading actress Jessica Chastain.

Around a decade ago, Oscar nominations were used as a marketing tool to get people to go to the theatre and watch the movie or talk about it. Now, theatre is not the only place for movies, people can stream the latest movies from the comfort of their homes.
