Pointers at Glance
- Sensolus has partnered with Deutsche Telekom to launch an IoT asset tracking solution.
- More than 175,000 customer trackers are already connected to the platform across Europe.
Sensolus, a Belgian IIoT firm, has collaborated with German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom to launch a powerful IoT asset tracking solution.
Johan Criel, Co-Founder and CTO at Sensolus, explains IoT asset tracking and management can only be as good as the network that enables data transmission. Finding a network provider who knows the specific requirements of IoT applications and offers convenient network services is predominant.
He says they are delighted that Deutsche Telekom, the market-leading provider in Germany, is working with them and supporting the implementation of their end-to-end solution with its highly available NB-IoT network, which benefits companies explicitly from the logistics, transport, and the industry sector.
Sensolus’ portfolio of GPS trackers can withstand harsh conditions and feature intelligent motion and tilt detection systems supplemented with additional sensors for gathering data such as temperature and filling levels.
The batteries in Sensolus’ sensors last for a minimum of five years using Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT).
Filip Van Lancker, Head of Partnerships at Sensolus, said that over the past few years, they had worked hard to continuously improve the performance of their trackers and the functionality of the Sensolus asset management platform.
More than 175,000 of their customers’ trackers are already connected to the platform across Europe. Now they are proud to be able to offer their solution to a wide range of companies in Germany together with Deutsche Telekom.
A cloud-based management platform is used for managing and configuring Sensolus’ trackers. Beyond just displaying where the assets are on a map, the solution also provides companies with comprehensive AI-supported tracker data analysis.
Emanouel Tachtsoglou, IoT Expert and Partner Manager at Deutsche Telekom IoT, adds that IoT technology offers enormous opportunities for tracking and managing their assets, achieving efficiency gains, and implementing new business models for companies primarily in the industrial, transport, and logistics sectors.
