Google needs no introduction in today’s technology-dominated world. We have seen plenty of transformation in the last few years in the world. One of the leading tech giants google is responsible for the majority of them. As we are moving forward and Google Acquired Raxium, we can see there are several changes that are focused on Artificial intelligence, machine learning, AR-VR, and other such advanced technology.

Recently, Google acquired Raxium, a startup with MicroLED technology that will definitely help in building a new generation of augmented, virtual and mixed reality headsets. In 2020, Google acquired glasses maker North. This is surely a big step towards Google’s big AR move. In the recent reports, the tech giants hired engineers to build an augmented reality operating system.

Also, in January, reports were stating that Google Labs is building an AR headset called Project Iris. Project Iris is working under the same management as the Project Starline-a high-resolution video chat demo show during the last year’s event.

A Transforming the future Of Display

It is said that MircoLED is more useful and energy-efficient as compared to other solutions for building AR displays. The Information reported that Raxium is working on “monolithic integration” for MicroLEDs. This will help in bringing the price down as it is the same kind of silicon used for the majority of processors.

The Super AMOLED screen has a pixel pitch of about 50 microns while MircoLED has around 3.5 microns. This provides an unprecedented efficiency which is five times better.

According to multiple reports, Raxium will hold a prominent position in building a display that will change the future. Also, joining hands with Google will provide them that expert technical knowledge in the area and help them to explore more.
