International brands campaign for Women’s Day get creative

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8th every year to celebrate the struggles for gender equality. Every year the IWD selects a new theme for the event and for 2022 the theme is ‘Break the Bias’.

Break the bias theme is focusing on the women who are negatively impacted by gender bias and IWD encourages everyone to champion a world free of bias, discrimination, and stereotypes.

International brands celebrate IWD

Several international brands and retailers are partaking in the event and launching initiatives to empower women. These brands have launched products to raise vital funds for women-focused charities and organizations.

Some of these brands include,

  • Baukjen collaborates with The Prince’s Trust: Baukjen is a sustainable conscious online womenswear brand, which is partnering with The Prince’s Trust to launch Joanne blouse for IWD. The funds raised from this product will be donated to the charity #ChangeAGirlsLife campaign throughout March.
  • PrettyLittleThing launches IWD campaign: PrettyLittleThing will donate 100% of profits from the sale of its #MyDressDoesntMeanYes tote bag and selected dresses to support sexual assault victims and donate the anti-rape charities.
  • Charles & Keith partner with Dress for Success: Charles & Keith is a renowned footwear and accessories brand and is celebrating IWD’s Break the bias theme. There is not one but a series of initiatives undertaken by the brand. It has partnered with Dress for Success, by amplifying women’s voices through the Second Life podcast, and also launching new policies to support Charles & Keith female employees.
  • Boux Avenue’s ‘Together’ campaign for IWD: Boux is a British lingerie brand and for the 2022 IWD event, the brand is launching a new campaign ‘Together’ to celebrate all women. This campaign is to encourage the community with positive affirmations.
