Android 12 Users Can Avail the New Beta Version

Currently, WhatsApp users can only transfer their chat from iOS to Samsung devices and iOS to Google’s Pixel Phones. In the beta version 2.21.20.11 of WhatsApp for iOS, it allows all android users to transfer users’ chats to iPhone devices. However, all android users will require Android 12 smartphones to avail this new beta version where they can easily migrate their chat history from Android devices to any iPhone. According to WABetainfo, version 2.21.20.11 of WhatsApp for Android suggests that the app is operating to apply this feature in both versions. The changelog shows that the move from android to iOS app will require migration from one operating system to another system.

Version 2.0 of Multi-Device Support

Presently, there is no official date from WhatsApp when this feature of users transferring chat history from Android to iOS will roll out. Another feature that WhatsApp users are waiting to take advantage is of Multi devices support which is already available on Telegram. As of now, the public beta feature on WhatsApp for Desktop, Web, and Portal is available for all WhatsApp users supporting multi-device. In the coming years, it is planning to create version 2.0 allowing more functionalities to multi-device support, such as a standalone iPad app.
